MRS. BARBARA CASTLE intends to introduce "shortly" the necessary legislation to allow an extension of the Transport Holding Company's statutory borrowing powers, so that they can buy British Electric Traction's bus interests.
She announced this in the Commons last week during a statement about the negotiations between the two concerns.
