SHEFTON MALI FT-BASED Framptons Transport Services boosted its pre-tax profits by 27% for the year ending July 2005.
The Somerset-based firm.which also runs a freight forwarding business in Spain, also raised its fullyear profits to £55,428; up from £43,086 the previous year. Turnover during the same period fell from .£8.4m to 1:8.2ni.
Framptons' services include con tract distribution, UK and European pallet deliveries (via Palletline and the HazChem network) and warehousing. It employs 118 staff and also handles driver training and vehicle maintenance.
• Chairman Paul Frampton has recently. joined forces with several other hauliers, including Stan Robinson. David !dam and Gerry Jones,: to form the Route One group to lobby the government.
