Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

A NEW RANGE of small box van and light tipping trailers has heel) launched by Lvnton Commercial Units 01 Manchester.

The latest Load Lugger box trailers are available in four body sizes with internal load volumes from 3.1m-' to 11.8m3 (113113 to 4601t3) and offer payloads from 420kg to 1,271/kg.

Standard models

The smallest 120 model runs on a single axle, while the larger 230, 380 and 460 models have tandem axles. Torsion bar suspension is fitted throughout the range.

Standard, L, Load Lugger models have an all-welded steel chassis and A-frame with a bolted-on body. The side panels have a ribbed aluminium exterior cladding bonded over a foam core, with a 3mtn-thick inner plywood lining. The floor section consists of a 12min ply sheet over timber joists, finished with a non-slip coating.

Alongside its two-axle 1. models, Lynton also offers a higher specification SE version which has a galvanised steel chassis, a laminated roof with PVC coated ply ceiling — a translucent roof is used on L vans — a full-height front bulkhead and an internal kick strip all round.

All models are supplied with a rear roller shutter as standard and come with an improved moulded glass reinforced plastic front wind deflector panel.

To maximise internal floor

space, no wheel boxes intrude inside the bodies.

Tipping models

In addition to its new box trailer models, Lynton has also added two extra General Purpose (GP) ripping models to its existing Minitip and Maxitip trailer range. The tandem axle GP2000 and Gl42500 offer payloads of 1.300kg and 2,414/0kg respectivel■, and are both equipped with a steel chassis and tipping body.

'Hie (P2500 has a load deck measuring 2. Sin x I.42m, while the slightly smaller GP2000 measures I.78m x I.42m. Both models are fitted with a ladder gantry as standard, md for added flexibility, the side and rear panels on the G1325011 can be removed to convert it into a flatbed trailer.

On both GP models the body is raised by a handpumped single hydraulic ram. allowing the trailer to operate

independently from the towing vehicle. An electro-pneuinatic powerpack is available as an option.

Lynton supplies irs Load Lugger and (W trailers with full legal lighting equipment, over-run brakes which allow reversing without uncoupling, heavy-duty jockey wheel and corner stabilisers. Spare wheels, however, are an optional extra.

Prices for the Load Lugger start at ti899 plus VAT for the smallest 120L van and rise to 1:2,349 plus VAT for the largest 460SE model. The GP2000 retails at 1:1,275 plus VAT while the GP2500 costs 11,575 plus VAT.

• Light vehicle owners considering using a drawbar trailer should remember that if the gross train weight (the combined laden vehicle and trailer) exceeds 3.5 tonnes then the towing vehicle must be fitted with a tachograph and the operator should have an operator's Licence.
