IN Peugeot is offering its HDI engine in the Boxer van for the first time.
The 2.8-litre common-rail engine replaces the 2.5-litre unit across the range: it is said to produce 15% more power and 7% more torque than its predecessor. The engine develops 125hp at 3.600rpm and 300Nm at 1,800rpm.
Peugeot also claims that the new engine produces fewer emissions, is more economical and gives a better drive. List prices start at £14,600 for a 320S short-wheelbase chas sis-cab.
