THIEVES WHO helped themselves to early Christmas presents from a Hampshire trailer manufacturer might be tempted to return their booty as soon as they can.
An organised gang pulled down concrete bollards and a fence at the Andover Trailers site to reach the wheel assemblies and tyres. But all they got were defective and possibly dangerous goods.
"What the thieves do not know is that some of the wheels were a faulty batch these wheels must not be used on the road," says Andover sales director Ivan Collins. Collins says the thieves will know which ones they are as they have "Made in India" on them.
