• A £70,000-a-year national distribution contract is up for grabs from shock absorber manufacturer Woodhead.
The Ossett-based firm has so far received bids from Securicor, local haulier SBH in Huddersfield and Parceline.
Parceline has been handling the work for the past three months since Woodhead took over the distribution of shock absorbers to ATS's network of 550 outlets and 75 shops and garages from other clients.
Woodhead says the contract, which will be awarded later this month, could be worth £150,000 next year.
This year the contract involves delivering 100 parcels daily, which could fit into a panel van, from its factory in West Yorkshire.
The successful operator, which Woodhead admits is most likely to be a national haulier, will be asked to collect the parts at 17:30hrs and deliver them the next day.
Interested bidders should write to Woodhead, Church Street, Ossett, West Yorkshire WF5
