• The first new model announced by Leyland Daf Vars since the management buyout :s a stripped-out version of the 2.2tonne GVW 200 panel van: the Club retails at just 17,145 (exVAT) in petrol form, making it the lowest-priced panel van on the market. Although aimed at owner-operators, it could prove equally attractive to daily hire firms.
Cost-cutting measures include vinyl seats and the omission of a side loading door, but the Club retains Leyland Dais twoyear/I00,000-mile warranty. The 2.0-litre diesel version is priced at £8,345 (ex-VAT), and offers a payload of 880kg with a load vol. ume of 5.7m3.
Leyland Daf is also wooing business buyers with 0% finance, arranged through LIDT; after a 30% deposit, plus payment of the total VAT due, the balance is payable over two years.
