I would like to take this opportunity to clarify a few points in Melanie Hammond's recent articles concerning the SWF group of companies.
lwas at one stage a director of Al Premier Warehousing, but left to form a new company with Anthony Lewis, South Wales Forwarders Ltd. I left South Wales Forwarders at the beginning of October 2000 because the group was growing to a size I did not feel was beneficial to the operation.
With this in mind I had a discussion with its employees, and together we decided to break away from the group.
We kept the offices, which we sub-let from our landlord. I then started trading as Road, Air & Sea Freight Forwarders. This company has never had anything to do with the following people or companies: Anthony Lewis, Philip Barnett, Mark Waite, Brian Young, Ann Thomas (Haughton), SWF Group and Pall-Ex.
This new company is entirely my own venture, and I cannot stress strongly enough that none of the above is connected with it in any way. I hope this clarifies things with regards to RAS and myself.
