• Mr Peter Walker. Environment Secretary, has, in accordance with Section 56 of the Transport Act 1962, appointed a chairman and six members who, together with the area committee chairmen; will make up the Central Transport Consultative Committee for Great Britain until July 31 1974.
Mr R. P. Roberts. who became chairman in 1968, has been reappointed for a second term of office. Mr Roberts is a director of a number of companies concerned mainly with shipping and stevedoring interests. The six members are: Miss M. V. Howey; Mrs P. M. Jeffcoate; Mr T. J. Cowen; Sir Robert Black; Mrs Doris Moss; and Mr Alfred W. Allen. Miss Howey, Mrs Jeffcoate and Mr Cowen have been members of the CTCC since 1968; Sir Robert Black, Mrs Moss and Mr Allen are new members. The office of the Committee is at 3/4 Great Marlborough Street, London Wl; the secretary is Mr L. E, Plenty.
