THE FIRST ever Community Bus Service in Wale5 and only the second to be organised in the United Kingdo n, will start operating on Tuesday, September 28. Initiat finance is guaranteed by Clwyd County Council but evidence shows it should be self-supporting.
Run by Clwyd County Council and Crosville Motor Services of Chester, the new service will be managed by a "Bus Committee" comprising representatives of the villages, the County and Crosville.
The sixteen-seater Crosville owned and maintained minibus will operate scheduled services linking the villages to Bala, Corwen, Denbigh and Ruthin connecting with Crosville services to Rhyl, Mold and Wrexham.
The minibus will be driven by a team of volunteer drivers who have been trained by Crosville.
The Bus Committee will be responsible for deciding all operational matters including fare scales and timetables.
