fifth serious accident in three years in a Derbyshire rood used by up to 50 LGVs a day, residents are calling for an immediate truck ban. In the latest accident on Cromford Hill in Matlock, Derbyshire, a fortnight ago, the driver of the Stalkers Transport Services truck pictured was seriously injured and the driver of a parked pickup was killed as he knocked on the door of a house. Dene Quarry, whose access is off Cromford Hill, said it had not heard of the campaign but stresses that its managers sit on a liaison panel with Matlock police and residents.
