ACIRCULAR letter, under the heading "Carter Paterson and Pickfords Joint Parcels Services," has been sent out by the area manager from the Eastern Area Office at Wellingborough. It commences: "Owing to all transport concerns now being controlled by the British Transport Commission . . ."
It goes on to point out that as a result of the change, the name, " Express Transport Service (Wellingborough), Ltd.," may no longer be used, but that the happy relationship will continue under the name given on the circular.
What we are concerned about is the regrettable assumption contained in the first paragraph. It is a serious error, and the circular should never have been issucd in this form. The statement should be immediately corrected by those responsible.
