HEADING the Freight Transport Association's autumn and early winter training programme are courses on management and labour relations.
Top speakers will be covering the problems likely to be met by the experienced transport or distribution manager in a course at Camberley, Surrey, from September 19-24.
This course includes sessions on financing transport operations, the total concept of physical distribution and also covers distribution costs.
The labour relations aspects of transport and distribution will be looked at by a course at Camberley from October 3-6. Current legislation is covered and the course also includes sessions on the role of ACAS, grievance/dispute procedure, workers' participation and disciplinary procedures.
Other FTA courses include engineering management, October 31-November 5; transport management, November 7-12 and December 5-10; and industrial relations, November 21-26, all taking place at the ETA's training centre at Tunbridge Wells.
