Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

• Metro-Carnmell Weymann has delivered 25 Metroriders to South Wales Transport in a deal worth around £625,000.

The vehicles will be operated by SWT on a new series of minibus services in west Swansea. Forty new drivers have been taken on for the new services, which will operate from the city centre to suburbs including Uplands, Sketty, Tycoch and Dunvant.

The company undertook a detailed appraisal of minibuses available on the market before plumping for the Metroriders, which were chosen for their longevity, says SWT.

MCW has modified the Metroriders for SWT to incorporate a cable rather than a rod gear linkage, supplied by the American company Cablecraft.

SWT will handle its own routine maintenance but warranty work will be undertaken by MCW's appointed agents in the area, BRS Engineering.

The new order brings SWTs Swansea area fleet to more than 50. Most of its other buses are based on the Mercedes 508 diesel chassis — SWT says these vehicles were not readily available when it came to place the order.
