• Nissan's Terrano II Van will be on sale from next month. It is essentially the same vehicle as Ford's outgoing Maverick.
It is priced at £14,350 (exVA1')-1:675 less than the Maverick, which will be on sale until dealer stocks run out. Load volume is 1.65m3; net payload is 710kg. The Terrano is built at Nissan's Barcelona plant and is
powered by Nissan's 2.7TD which puts out 124hp (93kW) at 3,600rpm and 278Nm (2051bft) of torque at 2,000rpm.
This latest launch completes Nissan's push into the CV market which has included a new pickup and new variant of the Vanette. The Terrano II will be in direct competition with Land Rover's Defender and Discovery vans and Isuzu's Trooper van.
As with the passenger variant, the van is covered by a three-year or 60,000 mile mechanical warranty, three-year paint warranty and six-year perforation corrosion warranty.
