Belfast Corporation has decided to promote a Bill in the Northern Parliament to give it powers to run buses within an area a two miles outside the city boundary. A former Bill, in which it was proposed to seek powers to run buses 20 miles outside the boundary, was defeated at a meeting of electors. The object of the powers sought in the new Bill is to enable tramway termini to be linked up by bus services.
