Twenty-two years ago the London division of the Transport Managers' Club held its first Christmas luncheon at the Charing Cross Hotel. Following the meal the members made their own entertainment with impromptu song and story. This year it was dinner, and the entertainment was provided by a female Spanish bull-fighter and a lady dancer from Turkey. Colleague lain Sherriff reports that there was complete approval and rapt attention from the 250 who attended—and that included Wally Parker who as a founder member was part of the first impromptu cast.
