I WAS INTERESTED to read the recent letter regarding the relaunch of TipCon at next year's CV Show ('Was the relaunch of TipCon really inspired by the success of TipEx?', CM 22 November).
TipEx is a great show for specialised operators. But don't forget that many tipper operators specialise in other forms of transport. Concentrating on one area of operation is no longer an option if we are to remain cost-effective.
As far as Fm concerned, it is only good sense that the whole haulage industry is represented together because it will mean that a greater audience is available to the manufacturer or service provider, showcasing equipment and services that range from the very specialised and industryspecific products to the more mainstream equipment that is available.
Time is one of the most precious commodities in the haulage industry and to have everything under one roof means I can make the most of it. As far as I'm concerned, it makes perfect sense.
