• Danish Bacon has taken delivery of 145 Leyland Daf 45 and 55 Series models fitted with a mix of RVL and Gray & Adams refrigerated bodies using Carrier Transicold refrigeration equipment. They will be used to move bacon and chilled meats from 15. depots nationwide.
Each reefer body is fitted with three temperature sensors: the load temperature is shown on an in-cab display which can also print information on demand. All temperature recordings and door openings are stored in the monitoring system's memory. The vehicles are on a seven-year contract hire agreement with Ryder Truck Rental.
