• The Conservatives have pledged to scrap congestion charging if a Tory candidate wins the London Mayoral election next May.
The party has launched an anti-congestion charging campaign, based on the slogan 'Kengestion tax', on a new website.
Eric Pickles MP, shadow minister for London, says that the E5 charge is just another tax that will hit the less well-off in the capital hardest.
"For too long, Ken Livingstone has been allowed to wage war on London's motorists. With the launch of this anti-congestion campaign, we see the start of the motorist's fight-back."
• Scottish Conservatives are to step up their campaign against Edinburgh congestion charging.
