• Devon Fire and Rescue ser vice has taken delivery of the first of 18 MAN L2000 fire tender chassis. The 10-tonne 10.224 chassis are fitted with SaxonSanbec Country Water Tender Ladder bodies with hydraulic tilt crew-cab. Specification includes a 217hp (162kW) Euro 2 engine, anti-lock brakes and ASR traction control.
The vehicles are for rural areas where access is restricted. Features include a 1,800-litre water tank, Godiva 2,700litre/minute fire pump, twin hose reels and pneumatically powered floodlighting mast.
