• The first 12-metre coaches to be delivered in East Anglia are two AEC Reliance coaches which have gone to the Cambridge-based bus and coach firm, Premier Travel Ltd.
Premier Travel and Yelloway Motor Services Ltd., who operate jointly between East Anglia and North-West England. were the first two companies in this country to place orders for the 12-metre Reliance shortly after its announcement.
The two new coaches, together with two more 12-metre Reliances on order, will join the Premier fleet of 40 AECs operating throughout the UK and the Continent on long-distance express routes.
The new coaches have 53-seat bodies built by Walter Alexander (Coachbuilders) Ltd„ offering additional seating capacity and increased luggage accommodation—important factors on the busy traffic routes to and from the East and North-Western coastal resorts.
