SED 2004, the construction industry show at Milton Keynes, is normally associated with pools of mud, but by 9.30am on the first day of this year's show the organisers were having to water the access tracks to keep the dust down. By 10.30am, with temperatures already into the mid-twenties, the keenest operators were watching as Commercial Motor's live tipper demonstration area swung into action. Among the first group of
demonstrators were a brace of Isuzus and a Renault Mascott.
The show features no less than 416 exhibitors, with more than a quarter appearing for the first time. As well as the tippers in action, you can see everything from the smallest powered wheelbarrow to the very latest heavy haulage trailers. SED continues today (Thursday) until 4pm, but if you can't make it, there will be a full report in next week's issue of CM.
