A stand highlight is the recently launched EcoDisc brake. Trailer disc brake calipers have previously been derived from truck disc brakes, but BPW's EcoDisc is uncompromisingly designed to meet the requirements of the trailer Its compact design has resulted in weight savings of more than 10kg, while preserving the same stability and wear characteristics of traditional disc brakes. A new sealing arrangement ensures the bellows, covering the thrust tappets, are better protected against BPW Limited, 0513, 0514 damage and dirt/moisture ingress. A further benefit is the robust, internal automatic nonwearing adjusting device, which maintains a constant clearance between the brake pad and brake disc.
EcoDisc is available in three brake sizes the TSB3709 and TSB4309 for 9-tonne axle toads and the TSB/4312 for 12-tonne axle loads. EcoDisc is 100% BPW.
Also on the stand is BPW's EcoDrum brake. Suitable for all applications, BPW's drum brake is considered to be one of the best drum brakes available.
