-IUMBER McVeigh has confirmed that it is to end its transport verations from Boston, Lines, with 24 redundancies.
The closure is part of a slimming-down of the company's .ransport operations throughout the region, with fleets at 3rimsby and Immingham being reduced.
Company spokesman David Marsh told CM that the operaion was being reduced to a point where they were "more ompatible with the lower level of trading experienced in recent' nonths."
Mr Marsh said that the company will continue its warehousing in Boston, Grimsby and Immingham.
He said that the move was made at main board level and was :aused because the vehicles were not profitable.
