HUMBF.RSIDE Fire Brigade has taken delivery of a rescue tender based on the Stonefield 6x4 chassis.
Bigger than the Range Rover and smaller than the Bedford H Series 4x4, "The Stonefield is helping to fill this gap," say Anglo Coachbuilders Ltd, who added the bodywork.
Prior to the Brigade undertaking its own kitting-out, the appliance had already been extensively equipped with an hydraulic winch, generators, extending mast, compressor and sliding cradles to carry heavy items of lifting equipment, still leaving a free payload of 1,590kg (3,500Ibs).
