Do you provide a standard driver handover package?
Yes. It’s free and takes up to three hours per person. Handover is provided by the dealer salesperson unless MAN’s own Driver Training team is invited to complete the process. For fleet customers, the usual procedure is for Driver Training to complete handover.
Where does it normally take place?
Usually at the operator’s premises.
Do you offer specific driver handover/familiarisation courses certified as a JAUPT-recognised/accredited course for Driver CPC training?
Yes. MAN offers a Safety with Economy training course approved by JAUPT for Driver CPC. It is free if the MAN service package or fleet management package is taken with the vehicle and lasts one day per-person, per-vehicle. If not, there is a charge of £250 per-person, per-day.
How long does the CPC course take and how does it differ from a ‘standard’ handover?
To qualify for JAUPT it has to be seven hours. It is not the same as the standard handover process and can be done at MAN Truck and Bus Manchester or other MAN dealerships with suitable premises.
Can operators buy a CPC-registered familiarisation package on existing (i.e. not brand new) trucks?
Yes. It costs £250 per-person, per-day.
