TELEMATICS FIRM CMS SupaTrak will launch a new remote tyre pressure monitoring system (TPMS) at Commercial Motor Live on 3-4 October at the Millbrook Proving Ground, Bedfordshire.
The EcoTyre TPMS uses valve-mounted sensors to transmit readings to an in-cab device, which displays the pressures to the driver and transmits them by email or SMS.
The system has been tested in the waste sector and proved reliable, according to sales and marketing director Alex Harper. “Monitoring tyre pressures is important for safety and compliance, while correctly inlated tyres improve fuel eficiency and tyre life,” he explained. “As well as showing tyre pressures in real-time, the system can be set to alert the driver or transport manager if they go above or below pre-set levels.” CMS SupaTrak is just one of the many exhibitors at the event.
