Eurocargos picked for traffic control

TRAFFIC Management (North East) Limited (TMNE) has acquired 10 Iveco Eurocargos to use on its traffic management operations.
The order from North East Truck and Van (NETV) is made up of eight 18-tonne impact-protection vehicles, as well as two 7.5-tonners.
The Eurocargos are fitted with up-rated batteries and alternators so their electrical systems can cope with front and rear beacons, together with large illuminated direction arrows. The order includes dropsides with cone distribution wells forward of the rear axle and dropsides with tail-lifts.
Vehicles have been supplied with a five-year repair and maintenance contract and most servicing will be carried out at NETIfs dealership in Blaydon.
Each of the new Eurocargos is expected to cover 40,00050,000km a year.
