CIVIL ENGINEERING firm Clancy Docwra, which specialises in the utilities sector, has taken delivery of a vehicle fitted with a plant body from Andover Trailers The 26-tonne Iveco Stralis has an Andover plant body which offers a deck height 125mrn lower than a conventional plant body, giving lower ramp and beavertail approach angles It joins a fleet of 160 trucks and vans Built to Clancy Docwra's specification. the body incorporates 2.5m-long/Im-wide fold-forward ramps that are said to reduce drag as well as enabling the vehicle to double-up as a flatbed.
The rig is expected to cover up to 100,000 miles a year delivering items of plant and other vehicles to construction sites nationwide.
