JIM MCLAY OF Glenhire Express, Glenrothes, died on Monday 11 December. aged 44. He had been suffering from leukaemia for some years.
He was active in the Road Haulage Association (RHA) and had been its regional vice chairman since February this year. Phil Flanders, head of the RHA in Scotland, says:" Most of the time when you saw him you wouldn't know he was ill. He always had a smile and kind words. Nothing was too much trouble and he worked and played hard. Our thoughts are with his wife Pamela.
McLay also supported the Anthony Nolan Trust, a charity to help leukaemia sufferers: several Glenhire trailers were liveried to promote its work.
