Certainly the engine was cold after Waiting in the yard for an hour for a load of goods, but he was raw and " muffed " starting up, and so lost his turn under the crane. Frantic efforts to get life into the engine brought around hint a dozen other drivers and he did not gain sympathy by his churlishness. At last one Said: "Here, let's see what's wrong. Lift up your bonnet." A careful glance was followed by a long hollow whiStle as the helper turned sadly away. " No good, old man ! Better telephone to your foreman. Your engine's too small!"
