A HOPEFUL note was sounded at ti last week's annual meeting, at Bradford, of the Yorkshire Transport Society. In a presidential message congratulating the Society on the maintenance' of its educational work despite war-time difficulties, Mr. C. R. Tattam, general manager of Bradford Passenger Transport Department, stated: " I hope and confidently believe that the improved war situation will this year see you well on the way to the resumption of your normal activities."
The annual report indicated that the -vigour of the Society's nucleus organization of war-time, which during the past year has provided both lectures and visits to establishments connected with transport, gives promise of successful extensions when peace-time Con
ditions return. • Mr. Tattam was re-elected president and Mr. Charles Bragg (L.N.E.R.) retains the chairmanship. Mr. FL Smith (Hebble Motor Services, Ltd.) was elected to share the vice-chairmanship with Mr. H. Mann (Bradford Passenger Transport Department), and Mr. S., Scott, also of the Bradford municipal passenger-transport undertaking, was-re-elected hon. secretary.
