• The Minister for Transport Industries expects to announce by mid-March the system of allocating permits for the transport of goods to Italy within the general quota for 1972.
Announcing this in the Commons this week he added that the permits issued to date during the current year for the transport of goods from this country to Italy, less those returned, totalled 5026. • The 10-mile stretch of M53 betweer Cross Lane, Bidstone. and Hooton, will b( opened to traffic on February 1.
