• Following the launch of the EuroTrakker Cursor on/off-road range at the Brussels Show, Iveco Ford confirms the UK will get a Madrid-built 350kp eightlitre Cursor engined 8x4. It has yet to decide if it will be offering the Cursor engine in a light eight-legger produced by Seddon Atkinson in Oldham.
• Knorr-Bremse's electronic braking system has been expanded beyond ABS/ASR to include Drive Stability Control (DSC) which can be applied to counteract jackknifing, as well as Coupling Force Control and lining wear indication.
• Terberg of Genk's new 350kg tail-lift cassette fits on to a van floor, adding 200mm depth and 1 80kg weight. The platform pulls out and lowers on a scissors frame. It costs around 23,000 and Terberg wants to sell it in the UK.

• MAD of Diegem's body floor/interior spray is said to cut interior noise levels of a panel van by 1 2dB(A), and to resist most chemicals. The surface is prepared using a high-pressure environmentally friendly SodaBlaster (sodium bicarbonate) system, then resprayed with polyurea at high temperatures. MAD also has an AP400 floor covering that is said to resist asphalt.
