The UK, European and international standards concerning tints and driving are all identical: • Lenses tinted to a luminous transmittance below 8% are unsuitable for driving.
• Lenses tinted to a luminous transmittance below 75% are unsuitable for night driving.
• Any tint used should not adversely affect the recognition of coloured traffic signal lights.
