Exel Logistics' management team has undergone its own cabinet-style reshuffle which sees one of the joint European chiefs winning promotion, but the other heading for the exit. All the company's corporate functions, such as information technology, marketing and finance, have been reorganised globally.
The new management team, which is headed by chief executive officer Gerry Murphy and chief operating officer Bob Lake, has been restructured to include two new executive vice-presidents. Mike Parish, who was joint chief executive for Europe, is one of the new vice-presidents, with responsibility for Exel's industrial businesses. Richard Hunt, the other joint chief executive for Europe, has "decided to leave the business", according to Exel.
Bruce Edwards, who was chief executive for the Americas, has been appointed executive vice-president for Exel's consumer businesses.
