The sites, at Peterborough and Derby, could soon be followed by another — negotiations on this are at an advanced stage.
MD Ian Oakes says: "We're keen to pursue this additional franchise opportunity, particularly in view of the significant Hino range expansion that's planned."
Imperial, which has another 23 outlets across the country, also sells Daf, lsuzu, MAN-ERF, LDV. It used to sell Fodens too — Oakes stresses that the firm will continue to support the marque: "There's been a good deal of comment about ex-Foden dealers signing for Hino, but I want to reassure our Foden operator customers that we remain committed to them with a full after-sales capability in place.
"The new Hino appointments will sit alongside MAN-ERF businesses where we no longer operate sales franchises."
