FIRST six months of 1976 saw Daimler-Benz hold the number one position for cornmercial vehicle production, over 15 tonnes in weight, in the world.
From January to June the company produced 25,020 vehicles in this category with IVECO taking second place with 16,891 vehicles..
The International Harvester group moved from sixth place in 1975 to third last year.
Top British manufacturer was British Leyland who produced 4,674 vehicles, with Vauxhall second at 2,115 units.
