CULINA LOGISTICS has lost its distribution deal with 2 Sisters Food Group to Moores Refrigeration Controlled Transport (MRCT).
Eye. Suffolk-based MRCT will begin hauling poultry goods from 2 Sisters' facilities at Flixton, Suffolk: Scunthorpe, Lincolnshire: and Willand. Devon, from 1 May.
A spokesman for Culina says: "The decision was not servicerelated, but entirely a strategic one by the client, due to the relocation of its storage facility from Birmingham to Scunthorpe. While it is always disappointing when a working relationship comes 11 end, we completely unders the reasons in this case."
A consultation has begun 10 Culina employees at Wolverhampton depot, were assigned to the 2 Si contract. It is planned they transfer to MRCT under TI regulations.
Culina secured the 2 Si contract when it merged Wincanton's UK ch consolidation business November 2008. lt had origii started with Wincanton in 20C
