• Under the terms of the bilateral road haulage arrangement recently concluded between the UK and Italy (CM August 151 one of the traffics not subject to quota but needing permit is the carriage of goods in vehicles whose maximum laden weight does not exceed 6,000kg, not "unladen weight" as was incorrectly stated.
• Recently operational as one of the Bedford Guardian maintenance test centres is the pre-MoT testing service established by E. J. Baker and Co. Ltd., Aldershot. The equipment includes a Clayton rolling wheel-type dynamometer, Kismet lights tester, a J. C. Brown-Hands Trailer weighing machine and a Triangle roller brake tester. A similar system is being installed at Masons of Chichester', part of the E. J. Baker group.
