• Devon Conversions has received nine orders for its first ambulance conversions, unveiled at this month's Ambex exhibition. The ambulance is designed for sitting case, front line and paramedic work, and costs from £26,000. Wiltshire-based Specialised Vehicle Options designed the glass fibre body, which can be built on van chassis by various subcontractors_ Devon lines the interior with sanitised lightweight non-toxic foam and fits the equipment.
