In.A NEW clause to the Road Traffic Bill to bring back the heavy goods vehicle driver's licence has been tabled by Mr. Gresham Cooke.
Mr. Nabarro has an amendment down to raise the speed limit for heavy goods vehicles to 30 m.p.h.
Mr. Gresham Cooke, under another amendment. Would make it unnecessary for the driver of a goods vehicle to keen records under the 1933 Act within a radius of 25 miles if a certificate accompanied the vehicle giving the name of the driver, his hours of work, and details of the licence, registered number of the vehicle, and the number of the trailer, if any.
