Identical vans and cautious vendors combined to stabilise used van prices at June auctions. Words: Kevin Swallow loo much identical stock and cautio vendors helped stabilise used van prices June, following the highs reported by Br ish Car Auctions and Manheim Auctic in April 2010.
At Manheim Auctions, average us van prices in June rose 0.3%, OT £11, £4,301 compared to May but were dor £115 compared to the £4,416 peak seen April. At BCA, light CV values averag £4,280, down £186 (4.1%) against Ma values, and £353 from the record high £4,633 in April.
For Manheim, the slight rise came ft.( smaller, more desirable stock. JanDavis, Manheim general manager, ( says: -With so much duplicate stock an fall in enquiries and retail sales, trade bi ers prefer not to tie up their cash in va that need reconditioning for retail."
