"If you want labour trouble, buy a Merc" could be a valid slogan. An operator who recently bought a Mercedes-Benz 1626 model with sleeper-cab has locked it in his warehouse until two warring drivers have settled a quarrel over who is to drive it. This led to a fight in which one driver was knocked down_ Meanwhile, the operator loses the use of an expensive vehicle.
''Surely this has got to be good publicity for the product, as this customer runs a mixed fleet . . ." say Mercedes-Benz. They should remember that he who blows his own trumpet should be careful not to suck, otherwise he may do himself a mischief.
