SOME 6,300 EDDIE-spotters descended on Rockingham, near Corby on Saturday 17 September after overwhelming interest in the first-ever Stobart Fest forced a last minute change of location.
The event was originally due to be held at Stobart’s depot in Crick, but with the Eddie spotters desperate to have their pictures taken with not just their favourite Volvos and Scanias but their favourite drivers from the Channel Five
show Trucks & Trailers, the company was forced to switch to a bigger site.
Entry to the show was free of charge, with merchandise selling faster than proverbial hot cakes. Programmes from the event, we are reliably informed, are already on sale on eBay!
See Commercial Motor next week for our exclusive show round-up and more pictures from the inaugural Stobart Fest.
