to be sold has gone into service with Cawley Brothers of Llanrwst. Cawley recently borrowed a Detroitpowered ERF demonstrator to cover for an accident-damaged tractor, and was impressed by its economy and its ability to handle the north Wales terrain. With ERF's assurances of back up availability, Cawley placed the order for the EC127-41.
The 12.7-litre Detroit Diesel Series 60 engine is rated at 370hp (276kW) but develops a peak output of 414hp (309kW) at 1,500rpm, with engine management provided by Detroit's DDEC III system. The operator specified a 12-speed Eaton Twin Splitter transmission.
