micro-fibre elements to create an oil filter intended for use on all types of vehicle.
The new technology enables the filter to operate at a claimed 99%-plus single-pass efficiency at 10 microns with almost no power loss.
Paper element filters can clog and collapse with water contamination. Leslie Selsdon, inventor of the CyberFILTER and technical director of XLN Filters, says: "The hi-tech micro-fibre element tolerates water and filters without clogging down to 10 microns. It maintains super clean oil through better filtration with less friction and less soot. Used in an engine from new, or from the vehicle's first service, CyberFILTER will ensure that the oil not only stays clean with better film strength, but continues to do so without power loss, giving better mpg and longer engine life."
Fleet operators will benefit, says XLN Filters, with the substantial cost savings resulting from reduced downtime, lower oil consumption and complete engine protection.
