• Freight forwarder Thomas Meadows has promoted Don Coles (left) from Birmingham regional director to national sales director.
He takes on responsibility for the sales operations of Meadows' 26 offices and will also co-ordinate advertising and sales promotion activities.
Coles joined the company in 1957, worked his way up to Birmingham regional sales manager in 1979, and in 1982 took up his former position of regional director. He has also been involved in overseas sales tours.
