a new freight-only ship into service, Seafreight Freeway, operating two round trips a day between Dover Western Docks and Dunkerque.
This purpose build ship has a capacity of up to 80 15metre driver-accompanied vehicles and provides an alternative route into Belgium using the short `Ghyvelde Corridor' through France to the Belgian border.
The 'Ghyvelde Corridor' may now be used without a French quota permit and is operational 24 hours a day Monday to Saturday and on Sunday between 16.00 and 20.00 hours.
